David Farquhar is a 2010 graduate in Photography at University of Ulster where he studied under Paul Seawright. His work was selected for purchase during 2010 for the Arts Council of Northern Ireland collection and in 2011 with Artlink he received an Artist in the Community Award from the Arts Council and CREATE, Ireland's national development agency for the collaborative arts.

This is a new project building on the rural Artist Residency contexts that Artlink has been developing. This project combines an Artist in the Community Award from the Arts Council and CREATE for a collaborative project with the National Fisheries College, Greencastle and the broader community of the fishing industry in Greencastle: alongside work produced through the artist being Artlink Resident Artist at two local Agricultural Shows: the 2011 Harvest and 2012 Ploughing Festivals.

Works will be presented at Fort Dunree during Earagail Festival July 2012 and at Greencastle Regatta 2012.
